The environmental advantages of paper boxes mainly lie in their recyclability and biodegradability. Waste paper boxes can be recycled into new paper products, reducing wood consumption; if landfilled, they decompose much faster in the natural environment than plastics. In recent years, with increased environmental awareness, paper box manufacturing processes have been continuously optimized: for example, using water-based inks to reduce chemical pollution and developing non-wood fiber raw materials such as straw and bagasse to reduce ecological pressure. Enhancing the recyclability of paper boxes has become a key focus, such as designing reusable modular paper boxes or extending their lifespan through process improvements. In the future, paper boxes may be combined with new materials to further improve waterproofing and pressure resistance while maintaining lightweight properties.
